MEET A SUPPORT BUDDY

Name: John

John is a member of the PFG and is a very active Support Buddy.  John often gives his time and skills to support others in the group. 

Recently John (with 8 other group members) supported someone to get settled in their new home. The group responded to a request by spending a Saturday morning emptying boxes, fitting lightbulbs, tidying the garden and generally making a house feel like a home.  John helped to co-ordinate the support and provided transport.  John said "the day was  a real success, everyone was in good spirits and we all mucked in together".
John describes that being a Support Buddy is a rewarding experience.  John often receives help from other Support Buddies and loves to give time back to supporting others.
